Optional Enhanced Programmable Timing Generator / Pin Data Formatter
Users can upgrade to perform worst-case timing analysis with an optional hardware and software package supporting NRZ, RZ, RO, SBC and ZD data formats.
This feature allows the Drive phase to be placed within a cycle by a programmable Drive Strobe. The Drive Strobe can be placed within 0 to 20 nS span in steps of 0.5 ns.
The Drive pulse width is programmable from 10 ns to 30 ns in steps of 0.5 ns. The Compare window strobe can be placed within the drive cycle by programming the Receive strobe
placement in steps of 0.5 ns over a span of 20 ns cycle. The skew between channels for both Drive TG and Receive TG is hardware calibrated using an Autocal software program.
This option is useful if Board level timing tests are to be carried out to measure Setup time, hold time, propagation delay etc.
This system has a central timing subsystem.
Each Digital Channel has independently programmable Drive TG and Receive TG (Strobe).
Maximum Data Rate is 50 MHz or 20 Nano seconds.
Drive TG (Edge Placement) Programmable from zero to 20 ns. in steps of 0.5 ns
Drive Data Pulse Width is programmable from 10 ns to 30 ns in steps of 500 pico secs.
Data Read Strobe programmable from zero to 20 ns in 500 pico secs.
Data Formats supported are: NR, RZ, RO, SBC and ZD
Minimum Pulse Width is 6 ns.
Channel skew is software calibrated at the front panel or at the Load Board.
