Qmax – ATE, Automated Test Equipment, QT-2128 System is a powerful and cost effective mixed signal combination full functional test system designed for the Printed Circuit Board Tests. The automated test equipment QT-2128 System has a very innovative concept that allows the user to opt for the basic digital pin driver speed of 2MHz or medium 10MHz speed or the maximum 20MHz speed depending on the test requirement. The Analog channels have three 12 bit DAC and ADC that allows sampling speed of up to 20 Mega samples per second.
The Qmax QT-2128, automated test equipment, is a very flexible system that allows the user to “plug and play”. Depending on the test requirement, they can purchase the different test modules such as the fast open/short modules, the digital test modules, the analog test modules or the multiplexer modules. The IDDE software used for test program generation provides 3 different techniques of test program development for optimum utilization. It can be interfaced to a bed of nail test fixtures for high volume testing or with a guided probe for low volume repair and debug. Qmax QT-2128 provides a compatible test platform for the Schlumberger 635, 645 and 700 Series tester. Qmax has developed a converter software that will allow the user to regenerate the test programs developed under the Schlumberger test platform into one for Qmax QT-2128. This will help save lot of cost and investment on the test programs generated for these early generation testers. Apart from the functional test capability, the QT-2128 also comes with the QSM-VI test technique that is very useful in detection of ESD failure, shorted diode failure and illegal leakage between pin to pin on the IC or board under test.
As a Board Functional tester : The QT-2128 can be used as a board functional test system by testing via the card-edge. The mixed signal capability of the system enable it to test boards for their full functionality and at the same time scan the pins under test using QSM-VI for ESD and diode failure. Each digital and analog channels has 64K RAM behind and with the dedicated Test sequencer hardware it is possible to test in various modes such as Single Burst, Multi Burst and Interactive hand shake mode of driving data into the Board under test.
As an In-Circuit tester : The QT-2128 System can be configured as a IC clip tester for debug. The powerful evaluation engine allows the user to test PCBs without the need to first learn from a known good board. The software is able to re-calculate the expected output on the fly, in response to the IC link status on the board under test.
