1. How to generate test programmes for a device similar to
the device
available
in Qmax Device Library using Qmax source code?
2. Is there any autoguarding facility available in QT200? If so, how to use it?
3. How to create the fixture in QT150 ?
4. What do you mean by "block# not fully tested"
and
"device not fully tested"?
5. How to activate the 2 slot fixture channels
(from 0 to 63 and from 64 to 95 channels?
To create a new fixture or to modify an existing
fixture in QT150 do the
following steps:
1) Select 'Fixture Design' from the main screen, which will display you
the list of fixtures screen.
2) In case of a new one click the 'New' button, enter the fixture name
and proceed. On the other hand in case of modifying an existing one
click the 'Open' button. Now you will be displayed with the list
of devices screen.
3) To add a new device enter the device name and location, and
click the 'Add' button. Similarly to modify an existing device select
the device from the list and click the 'Edit' button. Now you will be
displayed with the channel mapping screen.
4) If you already know that which pin is connected to which channel either
you can let the system to map channels automatically by clicking the
'AutoMap' button ( in case if the pins are connected to channels in an
orderly fashion ) or you can map channels to pins one-by-one ( in case
if the pins are connected to channels in a random order ) using the
'Assign' button. In the later case before clicking the 'Assign' button
you have to enter the pin number and channel number in the 'Pin' and
'Channel' edit boxes respectively.
On the other hand if you don't know that which
pins are connected to which channel
you can use the 'Locate Channel' option. In this case you need to connect
the pin
for which you want to find the channel ( i.e. the pin entered by you in
the 'Pin'
edit box ), to either Reference 1 or Reference 2 as selected by you and
press
'Locate channel'. If that pin is connected to a channel then the channel
number
will be displayed in the 'Channel' edit box. Now you have to click 'Assign'
button
which will assign the channel number to that pin.
In Visual WorkStation the digital devices
such as gates, flip-flops, counters, Shift
Registers etc are tested in blocks. It means say for e.g. 7474 is a D flip-flop
which consists
of two flip-flops inside. So for easy analysis we are testing the device
in two Blocks.
First flip-flop is tested in first block and second flip-flop in second
block. If one or more outputs
in any of the blocks are not toggled then the message will be displayed
as "block# not fully tested".
Device not fully tested message appears in the following conditions.
1. When one or more outputs are not toggled.
2. When Open Collector / Emitter devices output do not go high/low when expected,
this may be due to no pull-up/down or held low/high by another device in a
Wired OR condition.
Please note that this may not be a failure,
it could be due to a design feature
e.g. the inputs disabled or due to Wired OR condition.
For the 48/3 configuration (in your case )
the fixture channels from 0 to 47 it is
activated by default. To activate the remaining channels you have to
upgrade the Hardware.
Yes. You have to connect the Solder side probes
in the fixture channels and from
the solder side of the PCB you can access the devices.
In the QSM technique, to learn the characteristics
of a device which is not a standard
package ( DIP, SIP, SOIC, PLCC ), you can create new fixtures for the Custom
packages
and you have to develop a interface for the same.
To functionally test the device, you can use IDDE - GTPG software to test
devices.
Here we can use the flying channels to test the device.
