Background

Qmax QT200 is a very powerful Mixed Signal In-Circuit Functional Test system capable of testing Digital and Analog ICs both In-circuit and Out-circuit upto a maximum of 96 digital Channels and 3 analog channels which can be shared among the 96 digital Channels. With these capabilities Qmax QT200 becomes a very powerful test tool not only for troubleshooting, but also for PCB functional testing at the card edge level. This is facilitated by the very powerful test sofrware developed by Qmax for this purpose called IDDE (Integrated Device Development Environment). 

Requirements

QT200 has all the test channels brought out to the front panel, apart from the regual connectors for the test clip, thro a 64 pin Male Euro connector and the channels numbered for easy idenitification in the front panel overlay. The user need to identify the channels and their labels in the IDDE software.

IDDE Software Provisions

The IDDE Software is meant to develop custom test programs for the QT200 Workstation Software. It has the following features

• To Incorporate QDDL (Qmax Device Description Language for modeling the MSI devices in terms of Logic Primitives), WEST (Wave Event Specification and Test Lanugage for LSI Devices) and GTPG (Generic Test Program Generator) into a single unified environment
• To import the QDDL source programs and Test Waveform Data from the Standard Qmax Device Library
• To import the WEST Programs from the Qmax Standard Device Library
• In Addition to the above GPTG provides
  • To Split the complete testing into many small tests and associate group of pins to the individual tests, which may test only a specifi function
  • To group singals to make them form a bus and generate the test pattersn through the versatile Waveform Generator
  • To Graphically edit the expected data for any output on a cycle by cycle basis
  • To Learn any output from a good board from any cycle to any cycle within the test interval set by the user
• To Compile the test programs (QDDL, WEST and GTPG) into a Library and export it into the QT200 Workstation Software
